Quebec City, August 11, 2011 - The jury for the 2011 edition of the Devtech 50 technology entrepreneurship competition recently announced the names of 10 finalist companies, selected from among 38 applicants.

“The quality of the applications impressed the jury members and certainly didn’t make our task any easier! I’d like to congratulate and thank all of the participants. We received further eloquent evidence of the talent, potential and innovativeness that are driving our technology entrepreneurs”, said Alain Dubois, President of Essor Strategies, Devtech 50 partner/presenter and jury member.

The 10 finalists will attend four high-level training sessions between August and October 2011. They will then present their projects to the jury when the competition wraps up on November 10 at the Quebec City Hilton. The winners will share a total of $90,000 in prize money.

“It is important for a region such as Quebec City, in which the knowledge economy plays such a key role, to ensure that our young technology companies benefit from a launchpad such as Devtech 50. This is all made possible thanks to the collective efforts of our economic stakeholders and the essential involvement of our valued partners”, said Carl Viel, President and CEO of Quebec International.

B-Temia is among the 10 finalists of the competition.

B-Temia is specialized in systems designed to enhance human mobility capabilities.
