Québec, July 27, 2012 – B-TEMIA and its dermoskeleton have been selected to showcase at the World Future Society’s Conference: World Future 2012: Dream, Design, Develop and Deliver held in Toronto from July 27-29. B-TEMIA focuses on solving a very important and costly problem for defense & security organizations around the world – the over loaded soldier. Deployment loads have increased as much as 25% since 2003, reaching up to 200lbs for certain jobs. Carrying heavy loads everyday impacts the soldier’s mobility, survivability and health. B-TEMIA’s dermoskeleton plans on changing that.

The dermoskeleton is wearable protective equipment for soldiers. Designed to fit over the combat uniform, it amplifies muscular capacity and biomechanically protects the body against overload carriage. “Each day, B-TEMIA’s talented team puts their creative efforts and expertise in biomechatronics into solving the soldier overload challenge. It’s fantastic to be recognized amongst top inventors.” applauds Mr. Stéphane Bédard, President and CEO.

Down the road, B-TEMIA’s dermoskeleton could also help people with chronic illnesses or weak leg muscles to walk.
