Principal provider of environmental analyses in Canada , the AGAT Laboratories  are also the most diversified with 21 offices across Canada. The Albertan group offers full laboratory and scientific research services through its 12 divisions: Environment; Ultra Trace; Agriculture; Tar Sands; Oil and Gas Chemistry; Tribology; Mining Geochemistry ; Air Quality Monitoring ; Deposit Study; Deposit Properties; Geology and Petrology; Food.

At the end of 2008 the corporation concluded the acquisition of the laboratory facilities of EnGlobe Corp. (a division of Biogenie) located in Québec, at the High Tech Park. Combined with the Montréal laboratory this acquisition reinforces AGAT’s presence in the Québec market. Following the acquisition a massive capital injection was made to enlarge the laboratory and the range of tests offered in order to satisfy a larger variety of clients. The purchase also involves new analytical equipment, the integration of information systems, LIMS, as well as an online application, WebSOL.  AGAT has increased its presence in Québec far more than it could have obtained with only the laboratory in Montréal and, in addition, has been certified to perform dioxin and furan analyses, becoming the second laboratory in Québec to offer this service.

As well as its vision of a national network of Canadian laboratories, the group is present at three locations in Mexico, Villa Hermosa, Ciudad del Carmen and Tampico.
